Tried to burn some backups a few weeks ago, but all the guides seem to be outdated and imgburn/120 alcohol didnt like alot of the images i tried. So after a large stack of coasters was made. I have a working backup configuration for new versions of disc juggler. 99% success rate

What you need:
Paddus DiscJuggler 6
Backup Image
Blank CD
Right click your .cdi and open with DiscJuggler
On the first 'Source & Destination' tab; Under 'Action' make sure it is set to write. Not 'Write and verify'. Verify never works for me.
The image usually overrides the burn speed, but incase it doesnt, set it to 8x anyway. Discjuggler for macbook airNOT TOO LOW, as i think the burn speed dictates the speed the disc can be read.
In the 'Advanced Tab'; set 'Mode' to 'Mode 1/DVD'. Block to '2352'.
TOC to CD-XAMac
Check the following boxes: 'Add post-gap to 3rd party images' 'RAW write' and 'Overburn disc'
Insert your cd-r
Click Start

Upon completion test your backup and it should load up fine

The reason of this method change/update is most of the images out there, tux's especially; are either setup for old versions of dj or the image is already setup with the appropriate settings embedded.
Setting to the old method, Mode 2 block 2336 etc, burns the entire disc as that format (to my understanding). Using the above method, the first session of the disc (the actual game data) is burned in format the DC can read. The second session (boot sector) is already setup and will burn mode 2 etc automatically
Hopefully this saves people some coasters
